Best wishes to all affected by Katrina. My grandmother's house in Miami got hit while it was still a baby hurricane. We got off easy.

Hey! Did you catch any of Webern Day yesterday? Some pretentious grad student that WASN'T me sent a link to the list serve about how he has satellite radio and he was going to be tuned in. Apparently, according to the e-mail, Webern's works are VERY short and can be played completely in less than five hours. This was met with a collective "Well, DUH!" from pretty much everyone. I bet Toscaninni could have conducted them all in 45 minutes.--Christina :)
